Guest guest
AchArya Hrdhayam SUthram 226-5 THE EIGHTH TEN 'irundhAn kaNdu koNdu' "thithikka vuLLEa vuRaindhu, kaNdu koNdirundhu, amAnusha bhOgam Akkinavan.." sri rAmA always resided in the mind of sEthAp pirAtti and generated lasting happiness. Similarly, the Lord also settled and resided in the mind of AzhwAr and blessed AzhwAr with eternal mirth. What would happen to a person affected by abject penury, if he gets a windfall? he would be seeing the bounty without blinking an eyelid. Such would be the joy of the prize catch. Likewise, the Lord Almighty out of His compassion and affection, was looking at AzhwAr without blinking an eyelid. How did sEthAp pirAtti survive while she was separated from sri rAmA? The everlasting happiness that she got during her stay with Him in AyOdhyA for 12 years made Her thrive and sustain Herself. The events during that duration and the happiness recalled helped Her in sustaining Herself. Akin to this, AzhwAr was able to pull along by thinking of the immense joy he yielded from the exprience with the Lord Almighty. The fact that wealth attained by a poor is likened to the Lord re-possessing AzhwAr'sAnmA. He just went on looking at AzhwAr without batting an eyelid 'irundhAn kaNdu koNdu' pAsuram-s: "vuruvu karandhu vuLLum dhORum thithippAn" --->8-6-3--> The Lord gave sweet joy settling in the mind of AzhwAr. "orukkadtuhuLLEa vuRaiyum pirAn kaNdEr"---> 8-6-2----> The Lord serttled in the mind of AzhwAr permanently and gave immense happiness. "tharum thAn aruL thAn ini yAn aRiyEan" --->8-7-2---> The Grace and Happiness with the experience with the Lord is expressed by AzhwAr. " sevvAi muRuvalOdu enadhuLLathirundha, avvAi anRi, yAn aRiyEan maRRaruL' -->8-7-7--> The smiling countenance of AzhwAr in my mind is indeed the greatest blessing apart from whcih I do not know anything- is the feeling of AzhwAr. The above were the feelings as expressed by AzhwAr about the Lord Almighty. What is the Lord's position vis-a-visAzhwAr? Well! He just stared without batting an eyelid like a poor person getting a great wealth. The value of this is so much "irundhAn kaNdu koNdu" 8-7-2; which is what is the Lord's great value and happiness towards getting Azhwar.
