SrImathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah:

Dearest Srivaishnavas,

 

You appeared as small dwarf Bachelor Boy and hid Your

Parathvam in Your form. It is natural for You- says

AzhwAr.

 

aaNinOdu peNNumaaki

yallavOdu nallavaay,

UNodOsai yooRumaaki

yonRalaatha maayaiyaay,

pooNipENu maayanaakip

poyyinOdu meyyumaay,

kaaNipENum maaNiyaaykka

ranthusenRa kaLvanE! (26)

 

Oh deceitful Lord! The one who went as a small

bachelor Boy (Brahmachari) to Bhali and asked for

three measures of earth by Your feet! You have

manifested Yourself by hiding into everyone and

everything (anthar bahischathassarva vyAPya

nArAyaNasthitha: )

 

You are Among men and women in the world, in good and

bad; in rasam, sabdham, sparsam, - the subjects for

the senses; in Moola prakruthi; also as the little

cute Kutti KaNNan a cowherd Boy lovable one and

darling of the cowherd folks and the one who is dear

to cattle; You are both mey (Truth) and poi (false);

 

niRkinRadheellam nedumaal- Scholars and jNAnis-

whatever they see; they see you in them; [yOmAm

paSyathi sarvathra... ]

 

They see that those objects are all in Your control.

And in Your sankalpam; Those who are not jnAnis see

only the objects and leave You (or ignore Your

presence there).

 

But that is all praakritham- worldly matter; while

Your form of Vaamanan or KaNNan is aprAkrutham.

(straight from Paramapadham- full of Suddha sattva

ThirumEni). Those who can see You in prAkrutha objects

and forms; will they leave the golden opportunity of

seeing You when you appear in aprAkrutha form! Never.

When you appeared as KaNNan, even as cowherd Boy, they

found out that You are the Lord. When You appeared as

male cub son of YasOdhA; they saw You; OR even when

You appeared as Maayaa (as girl) for Yasodha; they saw

Your hand in it;

 

All that is Yours -appear good to some; and bad to

some; For example, Your touch, Your rambling,

(mazhalai chol) Your mischief were all enjoyment for

the cowherd group; while for Kamsa and his men (who

were sent) they were death calls for them. You are a

cowherd Boy or a kshathriya son? Both. Hence it is

both true and false.

 

Are You devaki's son? You would say No.¨ It is

false. Because You are. True- because You

are not a son of anyone actually [ajAyamAnO bahudhA

vijAyathE]. Hence True and false- poyyinOdu meyyumaay.

 

 

The first two lines arrtibute to leelA vibhUthi

vihArakams (changes) and hence poi.. that are

undergoing changes always; while the cowherd Boy

blemishless with kalyANa guNAs- it is True (though

in leelA vibhUthi) and hence mey. also can be

inferred.
