Saving [protecting] elephant [GajEndran]; appearing as

cowherd Boy killing an elephant (Kuvalayaapeetam); and

(not just that) reared (mEytthu) cattle (Aaanai also

means cows); eaten Ghee of cows [Aa ney uNdi] in large

quantities; and during such rearing of cattle [at that

young age] lifted the whole huge mountain Govardhanam

and protected the cows; and when declared as the prize

of collyrium applied large, well laid out ruddy lined

most beautiful eyed most feminine Nappinnai Piraatti

herself, He went on top of every other deed of His

and killed the seven bulls together at on stroke at

such ease as the wonder of all wonders.

First line- Anai means elephant; Aa- also means cows.

Hence Aa ney- cow ghee…

Maadharaar thiRatthu- for the sake of maadhar

[Nappinnai PiraaTTi], He did such a great deed with an

effortless act. Whether the seven bulls came one

after the other; Or they were together in a row- is

besides the point. He killed them all to win the hand

of PiraaTTi.
