Guest guest
Dear Shriman Sadagopan Iyengar Swamin, In all of your excellent essays, you commence with a subject of common, current interest and link it with great effect to quotes from religious texts. A common weakness of humanity is to blame others for our ills, complain constantly of short-comings (kuRai) in the fulfillment of our expectations and, consequently, suffer more. We do not see Fullness everywhere as instructed, for example, in Ishavasya Upanishad: Ishavasyam idam sarvam . Children find short comings in parents (& vice versa), spouses with each other, citizens with society, the Government and, some times, even with God. In addition to praise of God, Guru and Gyanam, our ancient texts have expound on the nature of the wandering mind, instructing us on how to perceive right and focus on the purpose of this precious life granted to us by the Lord. Members of the List will be grateful to you if you can publish an article on this Topic. It will be of practical interest to the younger generation and of instructional value to elders. May I request other members also to share their thoughts on this subject? Dasan M.K. Krishnaswamy
