(56) Rolling down the ten heads of lankA king rAvaNan, creating terrors among the army of rAvanan and destroying them as well, You are the most valorous One! mahA dheeran! Maha veeran! You desire on Your own will to recline in Thirukudhanthai Divya Desam for strengthening the bhAgawathas – those who are vedic scholars, Brahmins (wearing upaveedhams) and those who have learnt logic and other saasthrAs. AzhwAr who could not enjoy the vibhava avathArams [for not being there during that time] enjoyed Sri Ranganathan as those vibhavams for the seven verses, have now enjoyed saying, “Not only archA; He is there mercifully in other great archAs as well” and blesses us with “kudanthai kidantha en kO.. “. Thirukkudanthai PerumAL is Saarnga paaNi and hence AzhwAr enjoys Him as Lord Sri Rama with the divine Bow rightfully. Painthalai- Strong proud ten heads were rolled down by Lord Sri Rama with valour. anRu senRu - Even when He was in JanansthAnam, Ravana’s mind was worried and it went on increasing exponentially until the heads rolled. AzhwAr did not mention ten heads; He mentions “aindhodaindhu – five plus five”. One can say five heads on the left and five heads on the right. Periya vaacchaan Pillai infers beautifully that these are personification of five karmendriyas and five jnanendriyas based on Adhiyaathmika interpretations. VadIkAs enjoy Amudhan and get their strength in their anushtAnam and jnAnam. They get benefited every manner by their paying obeisance to Amudhan. Or one can also say that their anukoola vrtthi (their fruits) are taken care by the Lord and He accepts as their offering (as they are paramikAnthins). Maal um allaiyE- um means You are Ranganthan as well as Amudhan.
