Guest guest
Dear Sri Padmanabhan swamy, Thanks a lot for this summary. Your words exactly reflected our thoughts (thoughts of everyone who was present in thiruvallikeni including parthasarathi and other emperumans). Adiyen feels really blessed to have been able to listen to the divine arulicheyal ghosti (no words to express adiyen's joy). "Azhvargal vAzhi arulicheyal vAzhi thAzhvAdhumil kuravar thAm vAzhi EzhpArum vuyya avargal vuraiththavaigal thAm vAzhi seiyya marai thannudanE sErindhu" -these words of swamy mAmunikal was upholded totally in thiruvallikeni. May the lord parthasarathi prevent any kan drushti to the divine ghosti and maintain the same enthusiam, strength and arulicheyal interest in each and everyone including the amazing kids who recite the azhvar paasurams without any doubt in a casual manner without any mistakes. "adiyargal vAzha arulicheyal vAzha thiruvallikeniyum parthasarathiyum vAzha manavala mAmuniyE ennum oru nootrAndirum" Alwar emperumAnAr Jeeyer thiruvadigalE sharaNam Adiyen ramanuja dAsee Sumithra Varadarajan - nsp Oppiliappan ; ramanuja ; vanamamalai Wednesday, May 26, 2004 7:44 AM PRABHANDHAM AT ITS PRIME PRABHANDHAM AT ITS PRIMEIt is commonplace in SamprokshaNam-s to find several casualties insofar as dhivyap-prabhaNdahm recital is concerned.1. The first is clarity. Since, the aurlich-cheyal has to be completed in 8 sessions - 8th session being the shortest, the tendancy is to speed up the whole process in each session.2. This hastening process results in chaos, confusion and utter disdain to the great work. In fact, I vividly remeber during thiru-indhalLUr samprOkshaNam, we were asked to recite the prabhaNdham behing the Lord instead of in front of Him. Nobody knew what was going on. 3. The resons are many. The instruments -=the accompanying band which are unique to the homam - create sound which makes one unable a trouble-free listening.4. Furtehr, there use to be other itineries.. 5. In thriu allik kEANi , the one and only goal was prabhaNdham and the smooth ghOshti.6.In other dhivya dhESam-s, the process gathers so much momentum one is unable to catch up what is actually being recited. pAsuram-s are skipped and to rectify the same brakes are appleid . In fact, this happened during srirangam samprOkshaNam. 7. Here it is the reverse. During nAchiyAr thirumozhi ANdAL-s work was delviered with so much zest that adhyApakAs were requested to sacrifice the anubhavam for the sake of time and reminded time and again the mudhal Ayiram sAthumurai has to take place in that session.8.. The thirumozhi session of 5th ten to 9th ten- five tens in one session was indeed grand. The words were so clear and anybody within or out of the ghOshti could easily follow it. It took two hours and forty five minutes to complete that session.9. Similarly, the thiru voi mozhi session of 5th to 9th ten- 5 tens took two and a half hours ensuring rich quality of recital and highest revernce to both the Lord and the AzhwAr.10. Here, it seemed as though the whole samprOkshaNam is for the sake of arulich cheyal and not vice versa.11. There was no mike.12. It is stated in AchArya hrdhayam that it is not correct to look into the material which go into the making of the archA Lord. I am not bothered. One thing I am sure.If you break parthasarathy, the explosion will result in thousands and thousands of AzhwAr-s pAsuram-s presented to Him at His thruOlakkam time and again, time and again and time and again.13. Indeed, thiruvallikkEANi is conspicuous and notorious for its bias towards prabhaNdham and parthasarathy whcih is nothing but PRABHANDHAM AT ITS PRIME. ramanuja dhAsanvanamamalai padmanabhan
