Dear EkAdasi Vratham observers:

At SrI RanganAtha Temple , two new changes will be instituted

to meet the needs of Ekadasi Vratham observers as of the next

EkAdasi day ( May 30 , 2004) :

1. Cut Fruits, MIlk , Butter milk , Fruit Juice and nuts

offered to SrI RanganAtha will be available for the vratham

observers since cooked food and preparations with whole rice

are not recommended food for the EkAdasi day . Please identify

yourself as Vratham observer and benefit from this Bhagavath

PrasAdham . For children below 14 years , pregnat ladies ,

elderly and those who have health problems , standard Bhagavath

PrasAdham with whole rice will be available as always .

Following the Ahobila Matam sampradhAyam , anna dhAnam

is observed every day at the temple.BhakthAs sponsor these

annadhAnams and in cases where there is no sponsorship ,

the temple takes care of these anna dhAnams as prescribed by

our SaasthrAs .

2. AsvamEdham and Kaadakam are two Vedic portions

that are recited on EkAdasi days at SrI Matam & Aasramams .

These recitations will be included through the public address

system at the temple starting from May 30, 2004 ,

the next EkAdasi day . They last an hour and half altogether .

Please come and listen to these Veda sacred BhAgams , which are

both uplifting , traditional and sacred .
