The Asthika Samajam, as part of its three-day 60th Tirunakshathram celebrations of U.Ve. Mukkur Lakshminarasimha Chariyar, unveiled an English book, `Ko DaTa?' (Who is the Giver?). Released by U.Ve. Pazhaveri Sadagopachariar, srikaryam of the Ahobila Mutt, the first copy was received by S.V.S. Raghavan of the Mutt. The book has been translated from `Mattapalliyil Malarnda Maraiporul', and it seeks to bring out the hallowed truths surrounding the holy place. Speakers at the function remembered the knowledgeable discourses delivered by Sri Mukkur Swamigal, and said his early demise was a loss to the tradition he espoused. Among the others present at the function today were Nalli Kuppusamy Chettiyar and Girija Seshadri of the Jaigopal Garodia Schools. The celebrations commenced on June 11 with the Jeer of the Ahobila Mutt, Sri Narayana Yatheendra Mahadesikan, inaugurating the fete, and a book - `Vedaraman,' authored from Sri Mukkur Swamy's discourses - released. Yesterday, the sixth volume of `Kuraiyondrumillai,' was released.
