Dearest Srivaishnavas,

Thus having advised that every one should enjoy like

AzhwAr, AzhwAr advised for the last few verses and now

AzhwAr addresses the Lord Himself and requests Him to

listen to his plea.

eththiRaththu moththun^inRu

yarnthuyarntha peRRiyOy,

muththiRaththu moorin^eera

raavaNaiththu yinRa,n^in

paththuRuththa sinthaiyOdu

ninRupaasam vittavarkku,

eththiRaththum iNnbham inkum

ankum enkum aagumE. (82)

Oh Lord! The One who mixes without any distinction

with the group in which You take the avathAram and

behave as if you are one among them for ages! Such

Grandest and Greatest One! [uyarndhu uyarndha

peRRiyOy] You recline on the huge vast Ocean

consisting of three kinds of waters; and those who

keep their minds airing ot of great devotion on Your

such graceful Reclining form on AdhisEshan and destroy

the other desires from them, will always be blessed

with the divine enjoyment of Bhagavad anubhavam in all

kinds and in all sorts in both worlds under all

circumstances.

Even when born as human form, or as cowherd Boy born

out of human bodies, You with greatest

sowseelyam mixed with cowherd folks and excel as if

You have been a cowherd Boy for many births; mix with

Guha, Sugreevan and other with such a sowlabhyam. Thus

the Greatest You have become even greater shining with

such wonderful kalyANa gunAs of sowlabhyam and

sowseelyam. mutthiRatthu - three kinds of

waters-namely, OORRu neer; mazhai neer and ARRu neer

[fountain waters; rain waters and river waters ]

moori neer- old waters OR huge, vast waters;

Those who are devoted to His Lotus feet with focused

minds; wherever they are there the Lord out of His

love for bhakthas (devotees) would also be there and

that place is like the Divya Desam.

OR We can say there (at Paramapadham) happiness [angum

inbam]; How can there be equality of inbam [happiness]

here also?

AzhwAr says: Yes. It is equal- there as well as here

for the BhAgawathas who enjoy Bhagavad anubhavam.

The destruction of other desires is due to the mind

firm on His Divine Lotus feet - and this is possible

due to Your sankalpam and Your mercy. Hence it is

definitely possible and certain to enjoy and be happy

equally here as well (on this earth).

avathAra rahasyam is mentioned subtly in the first two

lines so beautifully:

The Lord takes avatarams and his avatArams are real.

Swamy Desikan sums up the six rahayams this way :

avathArasya sathyathvam ajahath svasvabhAvathA

Suddha Satthvamayathvam cha SvEcchAmAthranidhAnathA

Dharma glAnou samudhaya: Saadhu samraksdhANArTathA

Ithi Janma rahasyam yO vEtthi naasya Punarbhaav:

(meaning):(1) Our Lord's incarnations (avathArams) are

real.

(2) They happen without any diminution in His Nature

of being Lordship. And none of His guNAs gets reduced.

He may hide the same during the entire avathAram.

(3) These avathArams are constituted by Suddha Satthva

Dhravyam.

(4) These avathArams happen because of our Lord's own

volition (Sankalpam).

(5)These avathArams take place, when there is even the

slightest harm to dharmam in His world.

(6) The avathArams of the Lord are intended for the

protection of His BhakthAs.

Those who reflect on these six inner meanings of the

reasons behind the Lord's avathArams do not get

rebirth (na Punarbhava:)
