Recap of Fourth Ten

nAngAm pathu

The prime quality of the Lord dealt in this pathu is the quality of

being the internal generator/governor of one and all. The fact that

the Lord is omni presence was seen in the third ten. Unless, one is

able to control these, the all pervasiveness is not fully uselful.

The fact that the Lord is controller of one and all is enunciated in

this nAlAm pathu.

AzhwAr's desire to experience the Lord at different phases of past

times was made possible by the Lord - bAlanAi 4-2

AzhwAr's deeds mixed with his organs were themselves accepted by the

Lord as ornaments in kOvai vAyAl 4-3

However, the feeling of having not attained the Lord surfaces and all

the things in and around AzhwAr appears like Lord and His related

ones which is described in 'maNNai irundhu thuzhAvi" 4-4;

To appease this desire, the Lord disclosed the vision of His stance in

paramapadham with Sri lakshmi and granted the divine vision to Azhwar

in "vERRirundhu" 4-5;

Further, the futility of appraching the devathAnthram -other deities

is elaborated in 'thErpArai" ; The futility or incompetence of these

are again explained in the pAsuram 'ilingathitta";The futility of

other philosophies are explained in the pAsuram "viLambu ARu

samayamum";

Finally, the fact that His divine feet is the ultimate refuge."

Service to His divine feet is the goal. Go and enjoy this treat" is

the counsel by AzhwAr in this

nAlAm pathu.
