Sri PBA Swami's Sarartha Deepikai: However, will it not be a sin for the chetana to give up on these paths that were reponsible for the birth of the realization of his true nature? The other paths detailed before, have drawbacks such as being opposed to the true nature of the soul. Due to that, the chetana who has gained the knowledge to follow this path which is siddhOpaya, will not be committing a sin when giving up on them. This is similar to a person taking up the sanyAshrama dharma and giving up the prior dharmas that he had followed till then.
