Guest guest
We are pleased to inform you that we have just started teaching Sri Mahaveera Vaibhavam (also called Raghuveera Gadyam) in Sri Ramanuja Mission of Srirangam Srimath Andavan Ashramam's weekly Tele-Sthothram Classes (over telephone bridge in US). This is one of the most beautiful composition among all the great compositions of Swami Desikan. Even in Swami Desikan's own words in the last line of this Gadyam (Prose), he says this Sthothram is filled with words which are "katOra SukumAra gumbha gambeeram" (i.e words which are very tough sounding (katOra) but yet mellifluous (sukumAra)". In one of Sriman Sadagopan's write-up on this sthothram he has translated it beautifully as "This gadhyam has deep meanings and is constituted by the union of tender words with feminine charm and powerful words with masculine attributes . Please recite this gadhyam that serves as the most effective medicine for the removal of the fear ofSamsArA) This is a prose about Lord Sri Rama's vaibhavam (hence named Mahaveera Vaibhavam and Raghuveera Gadyam) where within just 94 slokas, you get the benefit of reciting the entire Ramayanam. This work alone is enough to expound the greatness of Swami Desikan. In just one slokam he has captured the entire essence of Sundara Kaandam (47th slokam "apAra pArAvAra.."). So, please dont let this opportunity to learn this great sthothram slip by. If you miss half way through, it might be difficult to catch up. Every Saturday, 12.30 PM - 1.30 PM For this week, the Dial-in # is: 858-400-4040 Passcode: 08817# regards, Shyamsundar Sreenivasan

Guest guest
Dear Ashok, Sorry my fault in not mentioning the time zone. The tele-sthothram classes are in Eastern US Time. EVERY SATURDAY 12.30 PM EST - 1.30 PM EST. You do have to become a member of telesthothram@ (enrollable from http://www..org website) to get automated weekly email on the dial-in and passcode details for that week's saturday class. regards, Shyam Oppiliappan, Ashok Krishnamurthy <akrishna_24> wrote: > Dear Shyam, > > I am not sure if I will attend, but wanted to know if > it was 12.30 pm EDT or CDT or PDT: since 858 area code > is San Diego, CA area code(??), perhaps it is PDT?? > > Regards, > > Ashok Krishnamurthy > > > --- Shyam <shyam.sreenivasan@m...> wrote: > > We are pleased to inform you that we have just > > started teaching Sri > > Mahaveera Vaibhavam (also called Raghuveera Gadyam) > > in Sri Ramanuja > > Mission of Srirangam Srimath Andavan Ashramam's > > weekly Tele-Sthothram > > Classes (over telephone bridge in US).
