AzhwAr's mind raced towards the Lord even before he did. Hence, AzhwAr first prescribes the do-s and dont-s to his mind and then extends the same to fellow souls. That is why he mentions his mind as "mundhuRRa nenjEa " in peirya thiru vandhAdhi 1. Right in the first thiru-voi-moizhi AzhwAr counsels "thozhudhu, ezhu en mananEa" 1-1-1; What are the things that are mentioned for the mind: 1. Worhsip Him daily. "paNi nenjEa nALum, parama param paranai" thiru-voi-mozhi 10-4-7; 2. Good! Do not forget HIm. "vAzhi nenjEA! maRavAdhu vAzh kaNdAi" thiru voi mozhi 10-4-8; 3. Forsake the anxiety. "maruL vozhi ne mada nenjEa!" thiru voi mozhi 10-6-1; 4. Laugh at this world of samsArA. "naragathai nagu nenjEa!" thiru voi mozhi 10-6-5; 5. Never forget this dhivya-dhEsam. All this divine wealth was blessed in this dhivya-dhEsam-s . Hence, though we are proceeding the final place -thiru-nAdu- never forget this divine dhivya-dhEsam. "vAzhi manamEa kaividEal" 10-7-9; thiru mAl irunjOlai. And calls upon the srEvaishNavic devotees who are intimate like his mind and counsels thems "thoNdEr vammin" thiru voi mozhi10-1-5; (to be continued) vanamamalai padmanabhan
