Dear SrI Kannan:

 

Thanks for the excellent photos of

the BrundhAvanams of AdhivaNN SaThakOpa Jeeyar

and the Second Pattam and the First of the Eight

SrI NaarAyaNa YathIndhra MahA Desikan at

Melkote on the banks of KalyANi Theerttham .

 

There is a third BrundhAvanam in Melkote

in addition to the two that you have covered

sofar .

 

This is HH the Third of the Eight SrI NaarAyaNa

YathIndhra MahA Desikan's , who reigned for

34 years and Five Months on the SrI Matam Peetam

as an illustrious AchAryan in the tradition of

every one of our great AchAryAs .

 

Dear SrI Diwakar Kannan : It will be wonderful

for you to add this Brundhaavanam as well

to the other two . You would have brought us

then from the year 1398 C.E to 1632 C.E ,

a span of 234 years of the illustrious history of

the SrI Matam .

 

The 12th SrImath Azhagiya Singar is the One ,

who conducted Sri Bhaashyam KaalakshEpam

for 12 times at the BrundhAvanam of SrI AdhivaNN

SathakOpa Jeeyar under the very tree , where

the Founding Jeeyar conducted His KalakshEpams.

Many will know that AchArya RaamAnuja appeared

to attend one of these KaalakshEpams in the form

of a Five headed serpent to give His aamOdhanam .

 

The Taniyan for all the three Jeeyars are:

 

KesavArya KrupApAthram DheesamAdhi GuNArNavam

SrI SaThAri YatheesAnAm DesikEndhram aham bhaje

 

PrapadhyE NiravadhyAnAm nishadhyAm guNasampadhAm

SrIman NaarAyaNa munim vandhE VedAntha Desikam

 

The First Pattam Jeeyar is saluted as "DesikEndhran "

and HH the second and the 12th Pattam Jeeyars are

saluted as : "SrI BhAshya Desikan " and "VedAntha

Desikan " respectively in their Taniyans .

 

The Ahobila Matam PoorvAchArya PadhukA

JeerNOtthAraNa kaimakryam is proceeding well.

SrI matam SishyAs have sponsored all but 8 of

the 45 PaadhukAs .

 

Please come forward and support the rest of

the Kaimakryam that spans from 1398 to Now.
