MadamE sumithrA varadharAjan,

what does a girl who leaves with her husband to her in-law's place

do? She is leaving her place after a long affinity and affection

towards her dear and nears. She meets them briefly in private and

public and tells them goodbye respectfully.

thirumangai mannan wanted to reach Lord's abode immediately on

realising about the Lord. However, he was distracted by divya-desa

anubhavam-s. Now, kaliyan feels after nine tens, that time has come

for him to leave. He had visited so many dhivya-dhesam-s and gifted

us with divine pAsuram-s filled with pure tamil, immense philosophy

and great emotions. He had done this in detail. Now a stage had come

that he hadto leave these archAvathAra em-perumAn-s.Hence, he briefly

tells them one and all good bye in the first pAsuram of the tenth ten.

sri periya vAchAn piLLai's commentary reflects this aspect.

Akin to a newly married girl, leaving her place, thiurmangai mannan,

in anticipation of thiurnAdu, briefly talks about certian

dhivya-dhEsam-s -which are his dear and nears.

the undermentioned lines from you made me recall the above great vyAkyAnam.

thank you,

Consider adiyen as a normal lady. Then, it is well known to all, that

girls (especially after marriage) have a special affection towards

their parent's place. They may have it always but they tend to show

it more explicitly after marriage. So you may call it a

"porandhAththu paRRu" So adiyen wants to hear the name

"Thiruvallikeni" from the mouths of one and all and be filled with

joy. When it is the case for a girl who has come from some village

not well known what to say about adiyen who has come from a DD that

too adorned by our dear kaliyan as "oppavarillA mAdhargal vAzhum mAda

mAmayilai thiruvallikeni" Is there anything wrong in adiyen being

filled with sAtvika ahankaram?
