Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama: Pillai Thirunaraiyur Araiyar and Thiruvazhudhi Valanadu Dasar asked Bhattar the following. "As the neem leaf ages, it becomes more and more bitter. Similarly, the soul too becomes more and more involved in matters of this world with time. So, how is it possible for them to reach the Lord?" Bhattar replied "At the time the soul leaves the body, the Lord will remove its attachment to the body and to the things that it enjoys through the body. Just as He showed His divine beauty to Sri Malakara (as Lord Krishna) who seeked Him, He shows His beauty periodically to the chetana through the archa avatars and slowly reduces his attachment to things of this world. Therefore, there is no obstacle to the chetana to reaching Him. The pramAna for this is "na khalu bhAgavatA yama vishayam gacchanti" (the devotees of the Lord do not go to the land of Yama).
