Guest guest
aRam suvar Sri thoNdar adippodi AzhwAr mentions three walls in the sixth pAsuram of thiru-mAlai. "maRam suvar madhiL eduthu maRumaikkEa veRumai pUNdu, puRam suvar Ottai mADam puraLum pOdhu aRiya mAttEr, aRam suvar Agi ninRa aranganArk At seiyyAdhEa, puRam suvar kOlam seidhy puL kavvak kidakkinREREA' maRam suvar madhiL : The wall of adharmA. The wall of sins. maRam is opposite of aRam. The wall of adharmA is taken by the souls as their security. puRam suvar: our body. The body which is different from the soul and is prone and subject to mateiralistic, wordly attachments and plesures. The body which is likely to fall in a matter of time. Summary: The souls consider all the bad deeds as their walls and security. The body of the souls may fall at any time without notice. This body is prone to materialistic, wordly pleasure and attachments. This situation leads to empty coffers while the soul leaves the body. Therefore, approach the personification of dharmA. Approach the very dharmA.Approach the wall of dharmA. He is the 'aRam suvar' Who is He? He is the Lord of sriRangam. What a pity! He is so near here. Without surrendering unto Him, You are all harbouring your body. After you die, even the bird clan which devour peck and eat the corpses will ignore these bodies deeming it unfit for eating as these souls have not surrendered unto Him. The underlying fact is that He is our safety wall. He is the wall of 'dharmA' . 'rAmOA vigrahavAn dharmA' 'krshNam dharmam sanAthanam' Approach the ultimate wall. The wall of Wall. The symbol of dharmA. the Wall of dharmA. that is 'aRam suvar aranganAr' (Walls concluded) vanamamalai padmanabhan
