I want to apologize to the members for sending a half

written email to this list. It was done in error. Here

is the full version.

 

I want to thank the members for explaining the

significance of this auspicious day. My Natshatra

birthday (star birthday) falls every year on

Purrataski Thiruvonam day. As a youngster, I remember

my grandmother telling me that my birthday, purrattasi

thiruvonam, is very auspicious. I never knew why until

now.

 

I read with interest the write-up on Vaali. Can

someone please explain why the killing of Vaali from

behind was okay? I am not well-versed in these

matters. I hope someone can help me understand the

intricacies of this great religion of ours.
