The avathara stalam of Sri thirumalai ananthAnpillai, a very close

disciple of Swamy emperumAnAr who for the sake of happiness of his

acharya went to thirumalai to do pushpa kainkaryam to

thiruvenkatamudaiyan, is located in mandayam district the place

called as "SIRUPUTTUR". Long back a temple is supposed to have been

there but now no traces of the same are found. So some great

bhagavatas have joined to construct a temple to the great acharya,

ananthAzhvan. A vigraham of ananthAzhvan to be consecrated in the

temple will be placed for darshan for devotees at the vanamamalai

mutt, thiruvallikeni this saturday from 3-5 PM. Four to five great

scholars will talk about the greatness of swamy ananthAnpillai during

this occassion.

Today the celebration of Onnana swamy thirunakshatram started in a

grand manner. Sri U.Ve. Dr. M.A. Venkatakrishnan swamy showered a

excellent upanyasam on the topic "nAyaka ratnam" (Swamy emperumAnAr)

followed by thiruvaimozhi ghosti and sAttrumurai.
