AdiyEn's Sep 10-17 trip to Dhivya Desams in Tamil Nadu & Thirumala: Part II/ Sep 12-13 , 2004.

Dear BhakthAs :

 

 

After the visit to Thirumalai on Sep 11 , next day , adiyEn had the darsana

SoubhAgyam of Lord PaarthasArathy and Vedavalli ThAyAr at ThiruvallikkENi .

The race was against UcchikkAlam . adiyEn had a moving darsanam

of GeethAchAryan . The archakar invited me to come inside the little

gate that they use to get into the garbha graham . adiyEn was fortunate to

have such a close up darsanam of our most compassionate Lord ,

who blessed us all with the Charama slOkam .With all His family members

assembled around Him , Lord ParthasArathy has a crowded aasthAnam

and it was a great bhAgyam to have the sevai of all of His dear family

members as well . It is in NaacchiyAr Koil and at ThirukkOvalUr

that there is such an intimate family presence around the Lord .

 

As adiyEn was enjoying the sevai of the Lord and stayed a little longer

at Sri Vedavalli ThAyAr Sannidhi , the archakAs of Lord Narasimhan's

sannidhi closed the Sannidhi by invoking UcchikkAlam a little earlier .

adiyEn missed thus the opportunity to have the sEvai of TeLLiya Singham

this time . There seems to have been a message however from

Sri Narasimha Bhagavan . He knew ofcourse that adiyEn was going to

SelayUr (SrI Matam ) in the afternoon to have the darsana soubhAgyam of

MalOlan and asmath AchAryan , HH SrI NaarAyaNa Yatheendhra MahA Desikan .

It was a PradhOsham day and there was a Thirumnajanam for PrahlAdha Varadhan

and special PradhOsha AarAdhanam for MalOlan . Thus TeLLiya Singham

deferred His darsanam by few hours .

 

At SrI Matam , HH Sri NaarAyaNa Yatheendhra MahA Desikan

blessed the RathnAngi for Lord DevanAthan with His sacred hastha

sparsam and gave the niyamanam for the SamarpaNam .

The grand SaaRRumuRai at the SrI Sannidhi was a thrilling experience.

First time , I heard the rare Saama Veda Saakhai of RaaNayAneeya .

I was told that there were only 3 adhikAris , who can recite this rare

SaakhA in India . If it is so , then it is sad and we have to make

every effort to have it preserved thru TTD Veda recording project

led by the Director of TTD Music and Dance College, Sri Venkataraman .

I had a very good visit with Sri Venkataraman duirng the Sep 11 visit to

Thiruppathi.

 

I request Sri Diwakar Kannan and other Sannidhi sishyAs to locate

the whereabouts of this rare RaaNAyinee Saama VedAdhyAyee

to record some of the important sections of Saama Vedam like

Purusha Sooktham , PavamAna Sooktham et al . I will write more about

this rare saakhA in a subsequent posting related to this series .

 

 

On the morning of Sep 13 , the first halt was at Oppiliappan Koil ,

adiyEn's birth place . There was Thirumanjanam for Moolavar

and we had wonderful darsanam of the Lord without aabharaNams

and kavacham . The beauty of ThiruviNNagarappan is indescribable.

adiyEn had the bhAgyam thereafter of participating in the KaitthaLa

Sevai for the uthsavar dhivya dampathis from the KalyANa MaNtapam to

Garbha Graham . adiyEn feels more comfortable to be involved with

KaitthaLa sevai on the side of the ThAyaar . adiyEn had one more

bhAgyam in my life to participate in the KaitthaLa sEvai. ThAyar side

KaitthaLa sevai is the tradition of Vaikunta Vaasis Navaneetham

KrishNamAcchAr Swamy , DEvanAr ViLAgam Azhagiya Singar in

His PoorvAsramam . Soon after uthsavar ( POnnappan) reached

His aasthAnam with BhUmi DEvi , Moolavar had His alankAram

completed and was radiant with garlands and PeethAmbharam.

We had the most delightful and unforgettable sEvai .

 

The journey to Srirangam started thereafter . We arrived in

time to have the ardha Jaama sevai & attend the SayanOthsavam

for Lord RanganAthan . EkAntha VeeNai kaimkaryam took place

and with one dheepArAdhanai , the sannidhi was closed for the day .

We were blessed to have AravaNai prasAdham of the Lord before

returning home .

 

Next morning , we got up early to have Viswaroopam and

ThiruppaLLiyezucchi SEvai . adiyEn will describe this unforgettable

anubhavam in the next posting .
