Guest guest
Vishnu swamin, Krishnamachari swamin, I would like to keep this email short as this topic has been already discussed. The Lord narayana is workshiped through the two VaishNava Aagamams ( PaancharAthra and VaikhAnasa Aaagamams ) with their own specific traditions and Vidhis. Each of these two aagamams have their own uniqueness. It is the long-observed rule that those who follow one of the two aagamams are not eligible to use the other aagamam. This is a strictly observed restriction . As we all know SrI VaikhAnasa Aagamam is followed in Tiruvenkatam venkatesa perumal koil. rAmAnuja sannidhi was added later to this temple by the influence of pancharatra's. My understanding is that when the temple is constructed as per SrI VaikhAnasa Aagamam, there must not be any Acharya or Azhwars beyond dwajasthambam. Only the supreme diety Lord is the rulling king there and thus he alone should be workshiped. In VaikhAnasam at every door dwarapalakas are different. At first door of garbhagruha ( sanctom sanctorium) are Manika(male) and Sandhya( female) they are wife and husband. they don't have gada in hand but kunchika ( key to open the door) and at every door dwarapalakas are different. Vikhanasa Taapasa, Kishkindha Teertha, Pushpesa sreebhoota and so on. All ritual are followed as per the 8 samhithais of SrI VaikAnasam (Marichi works). Srivaikhanasa Bhagavat sastra is of vedic in nature & pancharathra is of tantric(?) in nature. I feel your question can not be answered as there is nothing written in Sri Vaikhanasam on how to perform Kaimkaryam for any Acharya or Azhwars sanidhi beyond dwajasthambam. dasoham,Jayaraman.Jayaraman Srinivasan <vikhanasadasan > wrote: Oppiliappan, "Vishnu" wrote:Govindaraja, Venkateswara, Kodandarama - VaikhanasaThayar - PancharatraVishnu--- In Oppiliappan, Narasimhan Krishnamachari wrote:> It is my understanding that the Govindraraja temple is consecrated according to the pA'ncarAtra Agama. Experts in the list can clarify. It is true that according to strict Agama SAstra-s (both pA'ncarAtra and vaikhAnasa), the priests of one Agama are not supposed to perform the priest functions for the deities consecrated according to the other Agama. But violations of the SAstra are widely prevalent at least in some of the U.S. temples.> > -Krishnamachari> > Vishnu wrote:>--- End forwarded message ---Do You ? Not by the influence of pAncharAtras but of Srivaishnavas. > > All ritual are followed as per the 8 samhithais of SrI VaikAnasam (Marichi works). That is the standard allegation of non-Vaishnavas! viSishtAdwaita is the only school that recognizes vaikhAnasam in totality. >I feel your question can not be answered as there is nothing written in Sri Vaikhanasam on how to perform Kaimkaryam for any Acharya or Azhwars sanidhi beyond dwajasthambam. pAncharAtra also does not specify, I heard. Both these are vaidika Agamas related to Lord, Goddess and Their family. Both Agamas, do a single hOmam for all AzhwArs, AchAryas as bhakta - bimbas, since there are no standard guidelines. AndAL is an exception since all of us believe She is thAyAr Herself. Also a separate hOmam is done for rAmAnuja in Sriprumbdur. Please correct me if I am wrong. dasoham Vishnu > > > Jayaraman Srinivasan <vikhanasadasan> wrote: > > Oppiliappan, "Vishnu" wrote: > > > Govindaraja, Venkateswara, Kodandarama - Vaikhanasa > Thayar - Pancharatra > > Vishnu > > Oppiliappan, Narasimhan Krishnamachari > wrote: > > It is my understanding that the Govindraraja temple is consecrated > according to the pA'ncarAtra Agama.
