Guest guest
Ohm: In addition to http://agasthiar.org/ Please visit http://www.agnisiksha.org/ for Nithya Karma Nivarani which meant for the populace of the whole world, irrespective of religion, race, caste, creed etc., This includes performance of certain good tasks, which may vary, according to the geographical features of each country. Observe these divine verses of Sathguru, obtained by him for our benificence from the upper divine worlds. Do internal Atma Vichara (inner research), purify your Self by repairing your mind and body. Thus relish the divine splendour. The web site is updated daily. ohm, Rama - Srinivasan Narayanan Oppiliappan Cc: neerajasrini Wednesday, October 13, 2004 11:01 PM [Fwd: Re: Hello (Re. Here is the calculation for the rahu kalam First find out the sun rise and sun set for your location. For US location this can be found out from the following web site.http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneYear.html In this table, one hour for daylight time is to be added to the times shown , if and when in use.The time duration between sun rise and sun set on any particular day is divided by eight. This is called octant. For example, if the time duration between sun rise and set is 13 hrs, then time octant is 97.5 minutes, say 98 mts. (13 hrs. is 780 mts. and this is divided by 8). For Monday, if the sun rise is at 7:15 a.m., then rahu kalam is from 8:53 (7:15 + 98 mts) plus 98 mts. and so from 8:53 to 10:31 (98 mts duration). Adiyen found this method some time back in the web site www.agastiyar.org . (Agastiyar universal magazine - describing about vaaram, tithi, stars, yogam and karanam - But now not able to open it. ) and also from other source. Adiyen does not remember the name of the source. Adiyen may please be excused for any error and omission.Dasan Srinivasan Sadagopan wrote: - Neeraja T Chari Oppiliappan Wednesday, October 13, 2004 1:07 AM Hello Hello, Does the rahukalam, yamakandam apply at the same time in USA as followed in India? For example, 7:30am-9am is rahukalam on Mondays. So will the rahukalam be between the same time in USA or should we follow Indian time? Regards, Neeraja Dear Srimathi Neeraja Chari: No , it does not . The determination of Rahu Kaalam et al and others are based on Sunrise time at the locations where you live . Once , one has placed the burden of protection of the jeevan at the sacred feet of thge Lord with AchAryan's MahOpakAram , one can ask : Graha Palam yEmi ? " and recite Swamy Desikan's Sri RanganAtha Padhuka Sahasram SlOkam overcoming the powers of Navagraham .
