Guest guest
Sri: SrImathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah: Dearest Srivaishnavas In above verses, the Lord’s Supremacy [Parathvam] and sowlabhyathvam [easy accessibility or stooping down to our level]; the enjoyment that he grants us; the sankalpam to get us rid of karmic diseases and hence creates the universe through Chathu mukha brahmA, brings out the jeevans, establishes saasthrAs through sages, acharyans, and AzhwArs. Thinking of these, Alavandhar desires for getting rid of the samsaaric affliction and attain mOksham and wishes to take refuge at His Feet. With an apprehension and fear about the terrible samsaaram, feeling remorseful for his own past, with utter helplessness [aakinchanyam], realising His Parathvam, alongw with His sowseelya, sowlabhyam, knowing that He is ubhaya vibhUthi nAthan and it is only He who can take one from this vibhUthi to another and grant mOksham, none else can be sought after for this – Alavandhar clearly understands. And thus he pleads and appeals for the same and prays for removing the hurdles for performing his path of saranagathi- and hence he pays his obeisance again and again. namo namo vaangmanasaati bhoomayE namo namo vaang manasaika bhoomayE namo namo (S)nantha mahaavibhoothayE namo namao(S) nantha dhayaika sindhavE [21] One who is Beyond the reach of speech, and mind- obeisance to You again and again; One who is the Only object of the same speech and mind- obeisance to you again and again; One who has infinite greatest powers – Swami for the two worlds- namely leela vibhUthi and Nithya vibhUthi- obeisance to You again and again; One who is the repository and ocean of compassion- obeisance to You again and again. Unless He showers His grace, he can not be the object of one’s speech and mind; Even if one is blessed by His grace, does not mean, it is poorNam; He can not be uttered completely fully comprehending His glories. But He is the sole object of Speech and mind- even though Vedas mentioned that yathO vaachO nivartthanthE aprA Apya manasaa sa:… where speech does not reach, my mind also does not and both return back failing in their mission to fully praise Him… The very purpose of our speech and mind – being blessed with such speech and mind- is to praise Him and contemplate on Him. Else they are waste. Like Him, we need to also comprehend His two vibhUthis quite well and know His unbounded worlds. He is ubhaya vibhUthi nAthan. Since He is so, He alone can take the beings from one place to another. None else can. Then only our mind would desire to reach his other vibhUthi and for that what is the means or way to reach? His grace alone is required. What we can do is to offer our praNAmams again and again at His feet- so does Alavandhar. If one eats thirty two handfuls of food, it is enough if we say- he ate food. Why should we say again and again- why did Alavandhar say namO namO so many times. When someone talks due to ecstatic love and intense love, the words would come more times; it is normal and seen in the day to day life itself. Muktha jeevans always perform their nama: (praNamams) using their mind, speech and action at all times. Also PaaramEswara samhitha says: dwidhA pradhakshiNam kruyaath praNAmancha thathaavidham; naika thripancha sapthAkya gaNanaavishamancha yad yadhassamO hi bhagawaan dEvas sarvasya vai hari: - odd number of pradhakshinam and praNAmams is not allowed as per this samhitha. And hence since it should be even, Alavandhar mentions even numbered nama: Also he mentions four times twice namO – meaning- ashtAnga praNamam to the Lord. Also the mind, speech and body all- performing praNamams to You again and again- also may be the interpretation. The leelA vibhUthi [this world] and nithya vibhUthi- Srivaikuntam- both are eternal- meaning- this world will also remain as sookshuma roopam in his stomach during mahaa praLayam. The leelA vibhUthi has the upper boundary- but not lower. The Nitha vibHuthi has got lower boundary but not upper. Since only due to Your grace one can get rid of samsaaric world, please bless me so and hence offering my praNamams. Alavandhar ThiruvadigaLE saraNam Regards Namo Narayana dAsan _______________________________ Declare Yourself - Register online to vote today! http://vote.
