Concluding thoughts on the mail that got thru !

Dear BhakthAs :

I have removed the two postings by Thiru Raghavan

making some wild claims about the origin of Sanskrit

and the universal superiority of Tamil and the annoying statements

about number of things that are very dear to the readership of

Oppiliappan List . As I mentioned in my earlier mail , the computer

did the reverse and approved the first mail , while I thought

I had pressed the delete command .

 

Thiru Raghavan is requested not to send his polemical

postings with outlandish claims to this list devoted to

serve devout VaishNavAs . Politics in the name of compartive

linguistics is the last of the things in my mind as the Moderator of

Oppiliappan List .

 

As far as the tolerant VaishNava tradition goes , both Sanskrit

and Tamil are our two eyes and the well known political polarizations

in Tamilnadu are outside the domain of Oppiliappan List . We will not

tolerate the putting down of one or other of these noble and ancient

languages with their own distinct traditions.

 

This space is sacred and I will be more vigilant in the future

about anything slipping thru .
