Thus it may be observed that, the Lord showers His blessings on us voluntarily the purushakAra and upAya vaibhavam. This again reiterates the fact that The Almighty is "swAthanthriyan" and has got every prerogative to accept, reject or voluntarily bless taking upon Himself even the 'purushakAra' role. However, how does one ensures this in a fail-proof and foolproof manner, is the whole subject matter of srEvachana bhUshaNam and this aspect is summed up in the upadhEsa rethinamAlai pAsuram "gnAnam anuttAnam ivai nanRAgavEa udaiyanAna, guruvai adaindhakkAl,manilathEr, thEAnAr kamalath thirumA-magaL kozhunan, thAnEA vaikuntham tharum" 61; The soul on surrendering at the feet of ones AchAryA -who is full of knowledge and practice- is blesssed by sriman nArAyaNA voluntarily. The term "thAnEA" is significant. The Lord as seen in the 14th sUthram of srEvachanabhUshaNam hereinabove, blesses the soul voluntarily by taking upon Himself the role of purushakAram and upAyam, once we surrender at our AchAryAs divine feet. Does it not then highlight that, each and every term periya jEyar uses-prayOgam- is with a purpose? thAnEA vaikuntham tharum (to be continued) vanamamalai padmanabhan
