Dear All,

Thirumazhisai Azhwar, called as BhaktisArar, worshipped Perumal in

Thiruvallikkeni in his yOga prabhAvam. He was one of the commanding

Azhwars, who did complete research on all the other philosophies, and

proved with his pAsurams that they are baseless. He asked Perumal

(Sonna vannam Seydha Perumal) in ThiruVekka to come with him when he

was sent on exile. Azhwar enjoys the sayana thirukkOlam of MannAthan

in Thiruvallikkeni. Perumal’s parAkramam in KrishnAvatAram, Narasimha

AvatAram and Gajendra Moksham was highlighted by Thirumangai Azhwar on

this Divya Desam. Thirumazhisai Azhwar talks about the same kind of

thing referring to the consequent activity of Perumal when He took

VamanAvatAram. While Thirumangai Azhwar spoke about the spontanity of

the reaction of Perumal to the call of a bhakta, Thirumazhisai Azhwar

talks about the relaxed approach of Perumal after that kind of

activity in VamanAvataram. Perumal always enjoys complete bhOgam when

it comes to relaxing. The kind of treatment that is done to Him to

relax Him is called SisirOpachAram. Azhwar asks Perumal, if He

decided to recline on the coast of Thiruvallikkeni so that the

current of waves from the sea water will keep brushing His feet that

had worked out to measure the worlds. This was a great anubhavam by

Thirumazhisai Azhwar.

Let us get to the anubhavam of PeyAzhwar. PeyAzhwar has strong

connection with Thirumazhisai Azhwar. PeyAzhwar was the one who sowed

the seeds to bring Thirumazhisai Azhwar into SriVaishnavism. He was

born in Mylapore, in which Thiruvallikkeni was included long time

back.

Azhwar talks about the beauty of the Divya Desam with respect to the

water in sea shore. As the sun sets, we can see the sky turning red.

This shade of the sky will get reflected on the waves of the water in

sea. This entire phenomenon will light up the floors of Divya Desam.

Not just that. Sea waves will leave the pearls on the coast. As the

light falls on these pearls the reflection of the light from sky will

result in beautiful shades of light. These lights show the way to

worship ThiruvallikkeniyAn. Azhwar ends the pAsuram in a beautiful

way by doing mangalAsAsanam to Perumal in whom, ThayAr MahA Lakshmi

recides (oruvalliththAmaraiyAl).

In summary, Thiruvallikkeni Divya Desam houses 5 Perumals, Vekata

Krishnan, MannAthan, Raman, Gajendra Varadan and Narasimhan.

Vedavalli is the thirunAmam of Thanikkovil NachiyAr. Venkata Krishnan

is in standing posture along with His family members with just two

shoulders. Parthasarathy is utsavar ThirunAmam. Divya Desam is named

after the pushkarani, Kairavini. It is also knowns a Thulasi vanam

(BrindAranyam). Parthasarathy was born as Swamy Ramanujar.

Thirumangai Azhwar, Thirumazhisai Azhwar and PeyAzhwar have done

mangalAsAsanam to this Divya Desa Perumals.

Swamy Desikan sang VairAgya Panchakam on Varadan,

dananjaya dyandhana bhooshanam dhanam

He actually referred to the ornament that adorns the chariot of

Arjuna. That ornament was none but Parthasarathy. The Garbhagruham of

Thiruvallikkeni itself is the chariot and the ornament is Venkata

Krishnan standing there. He was the One who took the kOl (sAtti)

instead of His DivyAyudhams (diivine weapons) to protect pandavas.

In the current day situation, this Perumal is the most lucky one among

most of the Divya Desams. This Perumal always enjoys a big Goshti of

Azhwar's Arulichheyalgal all thorugh the year.

aDiyEn would like to conclude the series. Please pardon for any errors.
