Guest guest
Dear Bagavathas Adiyen has few quiries which adiyen hopes to be cleared by learned bhagavathas of the group. Please help. 1) What is the Thaathparyam of Thaila Kaapu?? Heard we are not allowed to have darshan of moolavar during this period. If yes, why is it? 2) Why is seperate sannidhi not available in any temples for Sangathaazhvar as Chakrathaazhvar? 3)Narasimha moorthy behind the Chakrathaazhvar statue. Please help. > 1) What is the Thaathparyam of Thaila Kaapu?? Heard we are not allowed to > have darshan of moolavar during this period. If yes, why is it? The Moola BhErams at our temples are constructed and consecrated from materials like Granite , Wood or Svathai ( mortar) . Once consecrated , the Lord enters in them and one should not consider them to be made of any one of the above earthly materials . There are however Svayam Vyaktha ( self-manifested ) Moola BhErams like Sri Rangam , ThiruveLLUr et al , where the entire Moorhty is made of Saalagraama Silaa. They are given Thaila abhishEkam every year during specific periods to preserve them from any physical or accidental damages during the year's aarAdhanam. Being Saalagrama Moorthys , Bhagavan never leaves them even if there is a bhinnam ( damage) . Special combination of Moolikais and ingredients are soaked in oil and that Thailam is absorbed by the Moola BhEram for specific periods of time .At that time , sevai is not possible due to the nature of the siruation . Once the Thailam is absorbed so that there is no possibilty of cracking from drying , Moolavar is ready to give His darsanam . It is age old practise . In some temples like Oppiliappan KOil , Thiruvengadam , PerumAl does not recieve Thaila Kaapu . Oppiliappan Moola BhEram was constructed and consecrated from one piece of granite from the hills around Mayilam , some 60 to 80 miles away . EmperumAn at this dhivya dEsam recieves Thirumanjanam frequently . > 2) Why is seperate sannidhi not available in any temples for > Sangathaazhvar > as Chakrathaazhvar? ChakratthAzhwAr is BhagavAn's sankalpa Sakthi and as such recieves seperate worship .Sankham is saluted by AzhwArs ( NaacchiyAr Thirumozhi et al ) . Sankham is Jn~Ana sakthi and is held in the right hand of Lord ParthasArathy at ThiruvallikkENi and recieves worship daily as the Lord recieves worship. Sankha dhvani generates Jn~Anam in devotees and terror in those who are Bhagavath dhvEshis. Both are DhivyAyudhams of the Lord and are happy to serve the Lord according to His sankalpam . > > 3)Narasimha moorthy behind the Chakrathaazhvar statue. There is a seperate and long article available on the subject written by Sri Muralidhar Rangaswamy few years back. Please search Oppiliappan or Bhakthi archives . Ther eis plenty of information there . V.Sadagopan > Dasan > Srikanth
