Guest guest
ThirumAl the Lord of neidhal nilam The region in and around the sea is 'neidhal nilam'. One of the song -padhiRRuppathu pADAl talks high of thiru-ananthapuram perumAL and the region then called 'thiruvidhAngODu" now 'travancore' What does it say? "vaNdu vUdhu poli thAr thiru gnamar agalthu---> pirAtti in the chest. kaN peru thigiri--> sri sudarsana AzhwAn. kamazh gnAR thuzhA ai alangal--> thiruthuzhAi ......... kODu kUDu--> thirumAl who is thiruvidhAnkODu." The above sangam literature along with several other songs in silappadhigAram, pathuppAttu, thol-kAppiyam, agaRRinai and so on, go on to prove that thirumAl was the proclaimed of all the regions as per the ancient tamil sangam literature. This point was put up, analysed and explained by puthUr Sri Krishnaswamy Iyengar amidst tremondous oppositon forces. This has been an eyeopener to one and all and has been a big education to all srEvaishNavites.
