SrImathE gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah:

 

Dearest Srivaishnavas,

 

Even for few days, if one is servant for others, it is

difficult. When such is the case, why are you saying

and seeking for eternal servitude to Me? What

ignorance is this! – Lord appears to ask. Alavandhaar

responds: I am the slave for the kalyANa guNAs of

Yours; Your kalyANa guNas stupefy me; they overwhelm

me with such a desire and servitude. Even when I am

down with such karmic diseases, still You have blessed

me with the [little] knowledge of kalyANa guNAs; and

that’s what engulfs me. Hence even in the midst of

karmic diseases, I seek for the enjoyment and

enslaving at Your Feet. After Saranagathi, till the

final moment [dhEhaavasaanam], one needs to enjoy

nothing else other than association with Him, His

lotus feet in some form or other, devotion at Him;

bhAgawatha sambandham and stay where bhAgawathas

reside.; and be in the vicinity of their glances,

etc.. is what prapannan should seek for. Thus like

mOksham, these also can be asked for from the Lord and

hence what is the worry? Or shyness?

 

durantasyaadEr apariharaNeeyasya mahathO

niheenaachaarO(S)ham nrpasu bhasyaaspadhamapi

dayaa sindhO! bandhO! Niravadhika vaatsalya jaladhE!

thava smaaram smaaram guNagaNam itheecchaami patabhi:

The lowliest one- ahankaari- myself- am destined to

undergo the and suffer the mahaa paapams that have

been performed are yielding fruits now with no limits

and completely unbounded; which can not be exhausted

even with praayschitthams; every one of the paapam is

like a huge mountain; - such a respoitory of all vices

and cruelty; beast of a human with absolutely no

standard of conduct. Oh most compassionate Lord! Whose

only thought is to remove the dhukka [sorrows] of

others! Sarva vidha bandhu! You are an ocean of mercy

and all relations to me (father, mother, friend, et

al). Fondly remembering You again and again, and Your

sowlabhya, sowseelya kalyANa guNAs, I am completely

without any fear and hence as mentioned earlier, I

seek the above desires here itself in this world.

(like mOkshaanubhavam).

 

I am the beast of human (nrupasu); even though I am a

lowliest one with beastly behaviour and the abode of

all grave sins; Oh dhayaa sindhO (ocean of mercy)!, Oh

Father! Mother! I am devoid of all fears because of

remembering your most wonderful most auspicious

kalyANa guNAs; again and again; and I pray as above

Akruthyaanaamcha karaNam; kruthyaanaam varjanam cha

mE.. Bhagavad, BhAgawatha apachaaram.. No AchAram at

all; And no parihaaram also for all these

transgressions against saasthrAs.
