Guest guest
chakravarthy in swargam - Lord's Compassion The Commentaries go beyond the pAsuram and explain the srEvaishNavic principles. >From the Second pAsuram:ARAyirappaDi. vaiyathu vAzhvErgAL: nanjEyar: Why did not sri dasarathA get mOksham but swargam? The separation from the Lord resulted in the loss of life. So intense was his attachment towards sri rAmA. Still he did not get mOkshA? Why? sri bhattar: Sri dasarathA pursued the ordinary dharmama- the promise he had made. This resulted in him losing the Lord who is the embodiment of all dharmAs. "rAmO vigrahavAn dharma:" Hence, leaving the sAkshAth sathyam and pursuing ordinary sathyam should have resulted in naragam. The fact that he had landed up in swargam in fact shows the compassion of the Lord. (to be continued) vanamamalai padmanabhan
