Emperuman in varAha charama slokam, says that when his bhakthan is in

his final death bed not being able to think and act in a proper

manner emperuman will do the thinking process, “aham smarAmi math

bhaktham”. Sri Krishna in his bhagavat geetha says, anthima smrithi

is absolutely essential for any jeevatma to attain the divine feet of

emperuman. But devaperumal in his six words to emperumanar through

thirukkachchi nambigal says, “anthima smrithi varjanam” Doesn’t these

words contradict each other? There is no contradiction these two

conditions are for two different adhikAris. For ordinary bhakthas

who do bhakthi yogam by their effort to attain emperuman, the last

thought (anthima smrithi) becomes essential as per the sastras. But

in the case of a prapannan who has surrendered to the divine feet of

emperuman, emperuman breaks this rule and it becomes emperuman’s

responsibility to take the jeevatma/prapannan to his divine abode.

That is why devaperumal says, anthima smrithi is not necessary.

The words of varaha moorthi negotiate between the words of

Parthasarathi and devaperumal. Anthima smrithi is there. In case of

bhakthas the effort of last thought is theirs but in case of prapannas

the effort is on the side of emperuman. So both the words of

parthasarathi and devaperumal hold good.

In bhagavat geetha, Sri Parthasarathi emperuman says, “ananyAt

chintayan tO mAm yE janA par upAsathE tEshAm nithyAbhi yukthAnAm yoga

kshEmam vahAmyaham” Yogam is giving something that has been largely

desired for quite sometime. Kshemam is sustaining the obtained

treasure. Here in this geethA slokam emperuman talks about the

granting of moksha desired by the jeevatma as yogam and keeping him

there for ever without sending him back to the samsAra mandalam as

kshemam.

Bhoomi piratti was submerged inside the ocean and hence to save bhoomi

emperuman took varahavataram. The same bhoomi suffered from

atrocities of asuras and hence was put to many difficulties emperuman

immediately took the krishnAvataram to remove bhoobhAram. But is this

enough? Let us see in the next posting.
