Completion of Two Sri VaishNavite Educational Projects Started few Months Back !

Dear BhakthAs :

 

(1) You might recall that few years back we ( Professor M.A. Alwar of

Melkote and myself ) prepared and distributed an informative CD on

the Life and the Nine divine Sri Sookthis of AchArya RaamAnujA .

The nine divine compositions (Sri Sookthis) of our most

revered AchAryan ( Sri Bhaashyam , VedAntha Saaram , VedAntha dheepam ,

VedArtha Sangraham , Geethaa BhAshyam , Gadhya Thrayam and

Nithyam ) were covered in that CD ROM , which was well recieved .

 

That year was 1999 and Microsoft Operating System 98 was still in vogue.

Two years later , we found that Microsoft had released new Operating

Systems that made our CD incompatible . All that unique effort in

creating the marvellous CD ROM came to nought . Now , We have to reformat

all the data relating to AchArya RaamAnujA CD so that it can be played

across all OS platforms . We need your active particpation & Support to

realize this objective .

 

(2) Dr. M.A. Alwar & myself prepared next , one of the most

information-packed introduction to the Lives and Sri Sookthis

(AruLiccheyalkaLs) of the 12 Sri VaishNavite AzhwArs . The date was

around 2003 . The medium is English and the focus was at a a level

for youngsters as well as all family members to learn about the glories

of our blessed AzhwArs .

 

The first of these planned two volumes covered the life history ,

the dhivya dEsams that they performed MangaLAsAsanam ,

their Prabhandhams and recitation of those Prabhandhams by

the Melkote AdhyApAka GhOshti .The Life History and the divine

works of 7 AzhwArs ( Mudhal AzhwArs, PeriyAzhwAr , ANDAL ,

Thondaradippodi and ThiruppANar ) were covered in that First

Volume , which was also well recieved because of the significant

still and video images and acoustic files covering the recitation of

the Prabhandhams of all those 7 AzhwArs . This Volume is still

available for those , who did not acquire it sofar .Please contact me .

 

 

Now we are planning to complete the Second Volume of

the Life and AruLiccheyalkaLs of the remaining 5 AzhwArs

( Kulasekharar , Thirumazhisai , Swamy NammAzhwAr ,

Madhura Kavi and Thirumangai Mannan ) . Together , these

5 AzhwArs alone have contributed 9 Prabhandhams with more than

2,500 Paasurams . In view of this extensive/ precious content , the second

volume will be a challenge to create . With Bhagavath anugraham

and your support , we are determined to complete this Kaimkaryam

and release it along with the reformatted AchArya RaamAnujA

CD ROM in English .

 

Estimated Cost for completion of the two Projects Is $ 2,000.

 

Sole Support by a single philanthrophically minded

Sri VaishNavar or (2)support by 4 BhakthAs at $500

level each or (3) assistance by 10 BhakthAs at the $200

level or (4) by 20 Sri VaishNavAs at the $100 level

will help us reach the funding target to launch quickly

and successfully conclude this project of great

importance to Sri VaishNavite Families .
