We have already seen thiDa visumbu and asaivaRum amarargaL. In thiru-voi-mozhi 4-6 the eighth pAsuram prescribes that one should seek refuge in the Lord with the help of those proficient in vEdhAs. Swami nampiLLai has explained this, as those who realize that He is the means and the end are "vEdham vallArgaL" "vEdham vallArgaLaik koNDu viNNoAr perumAn thiruppAdham paNindhu..." 4-6-8 The same theme is voiced here as theLindha nAn maRaiyOAr. The vEdhic teachings are multifarious and appears contradictory. One has to rise above this maze and realize that He is the saviour at all times with single minded steadfastness. This undiluted confidence and conviction in Him is attained by only those clear minds and they are termed as 'theLindha nAn maRaiyOAr" sri periyavAchAn piLLai's commentary aptly throws light on this aspect. "oru kAl 'sarvEswaran rakshagan' enRirA, maRRoru pOdhu "vERonRu rakshagam" enRirukkai anRikkEa, enRum okka "sarvEswaran namakku rakshagan" enRu theLindhirukkum....." Unlike those , who sometimes consider the Lord Almgithy as the saviour and sometimes feel that something else is the saviour, those who understand that He is the saviour at all times----theLindha.
