Guest guest
False Ceiling- Ceiling of Fire The contemporary world is not content with just stone and mortar game. It needs more. The mason provides the concrete jungle camouflaged by paintings. However, here comes the interior decorator with his fanciful thinkings concretised and transform the structures with false ceilings, false doors, false floors including false flowers -artificial and paper flowers and so on and so forth. The Lord Almighty's bedroom is decorated by none other than our thiru-ananthAzhwAn.When the Lord lies down he becomes his bed ".. pulgum aNaiyAm thirumARku aravu" is it not? While being so, the thousand mouth emit fire and lO! these circle and permeate the vacant space and form themselves into a decipharable design. The balls of fire accumulate and gather into what appears like a covering on the top, made of flowers. These cover the top like a false ceiling -celing made of fire - Perhphs the oldest form of interior decoration and of course, as seen above the decorator is thiru-ananthAzhwAn. This is exactly described so by sri kula-sEkara AzhwAr "vAy Oar Er-ai-nURu thudhangaL Arndha, vaLai vudambil, azhal nAgam vumizhndha sen-thE, vEzhAdha malare senni vidhAnamEa pOle, mEal mEalum miga engum parandhadhan kEzh..." perumAL thiru-mozhi 1-2; Sri ANDAL and thirumazhisai AzhwAr also point out this fact. "thE mugathu nAgaNai mEal sEArum thiruvaranar.." "..azhal vumizhum pUnkAr aravu...." nAn-mugan thiruvandhAdhi. dAsan vanamamalai padmanabhan
