kOdhil vAimayinAnoDu vudanEA vuNban

 

Present day political parties, to increase their popularity organise

food parities and sit alongwith different castes and eat alongwith

them. The main witness for this is media. Photographs and videographs

are flashed across newspapers and channels and they aim at multiplying

their popularity with an eye on the vote bank.

 

Perhpas, the first sama-saha-bOjanam was started by sri chakravarthy

thirumagan. He was a king. The royal inheritor of AyOdhyA. A great

warrior who had demolished the lankan forces, who had vanquished the

demon clan, who has chosen the path of following His father's dictum

in word and spirit. One who is in a very high pedestal in whatever

angle viewed.

 

Being so, did He overlook hanUmAn because he was son of vAyU? a symbolism of ahankAram- No;

Did He reject thiruvadi though he was not mankind but a from a monkey clan--No;

Did He avoid AnjanEyA desptie the latter being a part of animal category -No;

Did He spurn anjana-putrA in spite of the fact that he was of a different creed--No;

 

What did He do? He overwhelmingly not only accepted Him with pleasure

but shared food in the same banana leaf at bharadwAja Ashram.

 

Sri peiryavAchAn piLLai describes this as " ini nAm okka jEvikkak

kaDavOAm" - Hereinafter, we shall live together -in thick and thin.

 

Sri AnjanEyA unlike sugrEvA or vibhEshanA did not do service to the

Lord with any expectation. This tribute is given to thiruvaDi who is

a blessed with blemishless words -kOdhil vAimainAn.
