Coming to the last paasuram in thiruppavai “vanga kadal kadaindha

mAdhavanai kEsavanai”, we have now come to the end of this series.

All through her prabhandam andal had been talking about kannan and

now in this paasuram she calls him by two divine thirunamas,

“mAdhavan" (one who has Sridevi in his chest) and "Kesavan" (KEsi

hanthA, one who overrides all the hurdles that prevents us from

reaching the divine lord). This makes adiyen feel that probably

andal sang her thiruppavai only for Sri Parthasarathi in

mAdamAmayilai thiruvallikeni. Why because Parthasarathi is none

other than kannan and to all our surprise here he undergoes kalyana

utsavam only with kodha nachiyar and very close to thiruvallikeni in

mylapore we are able to have the divine darshan of mAdhavan (at

madhava perumal koil) and Kesavan (at kesava perumal koil) and beyond

all these thiruvallikeni as per the puranas is called as

“brindAranyam” Andal wished to go to brindavanam and she envied the

conch in the hands of emperuman in her nachiyar thirumozhi. Here we

find venkata Krishnan in brindaranyam holding only the conch on his

right hand. So surely to have the divine anubhavam of andal

thiruvallikeni is the right place.

In this final paasuram, andal gives the pala shruthi. She says, “It

is not that only the gopis in thiruAypAdi attained the divine

kainkaryam of emperuman or we in Srivilliputtur got the same by doing

anukAram it is possible for one and all who wishes to attain the same

by just reciting this prabhandam.” In adiyen’s anubhavam it is real

joy to chant the verses of thiruppavai and enjoy in front of Sri

andal sametha Sri Parthasarathi emperuman in thiruvallikeni.

Marghazi month is a real treat since thiruppavai upanyasams happen in

many places giving our ears the cause for their existence.

In the previous paasuram we saw the meaning of thirumanthram embedded.

In this paasuram, the meaning of dwayam has been given by andal. The

first two lines give the poorvakandArtham and the last two give the

uttara kandArtham.

Whatever adiyen has written in this series is just a token to increase

all your interest and to show the greatness of our poorvacharya

vyakhyanams. There may be many mistakes due to adiyen’s ignorance

and limited knowledge. Adiyen begs the pardon under the divine feet

of bhagavatas for any knowingly or unknowingly committed mistakes.
