Yoga Rahasyam is no longer available to us .

It was an anushtAnam , the method of visualizing

the Lord blessed to AchArya Naatha MunigaL by

Swamy NammAzhwAr directly . It is more related to

Bhakthi yogam . As you might recall , Swamy NammAzhwAr was

deeply involved in the Yogic meditation on the Lord for many

years without eating or drinking and bein gsustained only by

the Lord as His food and drink and Sarvam .

 

AchArya Naathamuni's grandson was delayed in Thiruvananthapuram

and missed being initiated into the mysteries of Yoga Rahasyam by

Sottai Nampi , the direct disciple of AchArya Naathamuni . by the time ,

AchArya AlavanthAr returned to his home , Sottai Nampi had attained

his AchAryan's sacred feet and as a result , AchArya Naathamuni's

anushtAnam could not be propagated down the AchArya Paramparai .

Patanjali, Yoga in Sri Vaishnava context

How is Patanjali reckoned in the Sri Vaishnava lineage? Is the Yoga

Rahasya of Nathamuni a commentary on the Yoga Sutra's of Patanjali?

 

What is the status of yOgAbhyasa in Sri Vaishnavism today? Is Yogi

Krishnamacharya's commentary on Yoga Rahasya accepted in the

pan-academic community of Sri Vaishnava acharyas?

 

Lastly, if Patanjali's tomes are accepted within the Sri Vaishnava

context, how does his Mahabhasya, a commentary on Panini's tomes,

compare? This since Panini had strong Shaiva leanings as we witness

in Asthyadyayi.
