Guest guest
SrI: Dear BhakthAs of ThiruviNNagarappan : In the previous Paasuram , Thirumangai declared that he will not forget the anubhava sukham of the Lord ( Inbham thuRappEn allan ). He stated further that he will not forget ever the dhivya soundharyam of the Lord ( Ninn uruvam yenRum maRappEn allEn ) . adiyEn will not hence view myself as taking another Janmam based on the reason of my Tanmayathvam with You , the Lord of ThiruviNNagaram . In this Paasuram , Thirumangai makes some fine distinctions . He responds to the question that he anticipates from the Lord : KaliyA ! You say that you will not forsake the bliss of anubhavam about me . You are known for VishayAnubhava pravrutthi ( engagement in Vishaya sukhams) . How could you claim that you have developed Tanmayathvam towards Me ? Kaliyan Responds this way to allay the doubts of the Lord : thuRantEn Aarvac-cheRRam suRRam thuRanthamayAl siRanthEn NinnadikkE adimai ThirumAlE aRam thAnn aay thirivAi Unnai yenn manatthu ahatthE thiRampAmal koNDEn ThiruviNNagarAnE - - -Periya Thirumozhi: 6.3.2 (Meaning ): Sriya: Pathi ( ThirumAlE ) ! adiyEn has abandoned my relatives filled with desires ( raagam) and dhvEsahams ( hatred ) . As a result of that initiative , adiyEn's servitude ( dhaasyam ) for Your sacred feet has grown many fold and has attained a special significance . Oh Lord , who moves around as the embodiment of SanAthana dharmam ( aRam ThAnAi thirivAi ) ! adiyEn has now kept You inside my mind securely ( Unnai yenn manatthu ahatthE thiRampAmal koNDEn ) . Special Notes : ********************** Oh Lord of ThiruviNNagar ! Not only did adiyEn leave behind the raaga-dhvEshams but adiyEn also left the Bandhus with raaga-dhvEshams , who would have stood in the way of perfecting my striving for You . AdiyEn stays only with those bhandhUs , who kindle and reinforce the sukhAnubhavam about Your dhivya mangaLa vigraham and anantha kalyANa guNams . This new state of servitude ( dhaasyam ) has become more distinguished than the previous state of adimai . adiyEn has fully absorbed Your upadEsam that You alone are the SanAthana dharmam and You are the one to be worshipped through all dharmAs (Sarva Dharma SamArAdhyan) ; as a result , my servitude to You has stayed firm and will not experience any vikArams (Changes) . We find the echo of Thirumangai's moving statement in the prayer of AchArya RaamAnuja in his SaraNAgathy gadhyam SooNikai : pitharam mAtharam dhArAn BhandhUn sakhIn gurUn rathnAni dhana-dhAnyAni kshEthrANi cha gruhANi cha sarvadharmAmsccha santhyajya sarva-kAmAmsccha sAksharAn lOka-vikrAntha CharaNou SaraNam tE avrajam vibhO dhAsabhUtha: SaraNAgathOsmi Tvaasmi dhAsa: ithi vakthAram mAmm taaraya ! The Lord's answer for that SaraNAgathy was : "- - - asEsha-sEshathaika-rathiroopa nithya kinkarO bhavishyasi . maa tE bhUth athra samsaya: " Thirumnagai's SaraNAgathy was performed and the aathma rakshA bharam was granted by the Lord as in the case of AchArya RaamAnuja later .
