Guest guest
aRam thAnAi thirivAi Does one needs to accumulate lot of puNyam-s to attain Him? Does the credit in the accumulated account help in retrieivng oneself? Or if one does not have anything, is there any other solution? Sri ANDAL in kaRAvaigaL pAsuram answers this question "vundhannai piRavip peRum thanai puNNiyam yAmudiayOam" thiruppAvai 28; We possess the embodiment of the whole dharmam. krishNan dharamam sanAthanam. Sri thirumangai AzhwAr excellently coins this concept in a few words "...siRandhEan nin-adikkEa adimai---thiru-mAlEA, "aRam thAnAi thirivAi, vunnai en-manathEa thiRambAmal koNDEan, thiruviNNagarAnEa " 6-3-2; A walking dharmam--he terms the Lord. Oh! Lord You Yourself is the embodiment of dharmam and is looking for an opportunity to shower Your blessings. Should I need any other any qualificatin, other than You, vundhannai piRavip peRum thanai -puNNiyam yAm vudaiyOam dAsan vanamamalai padmanabhan P.s: The second line of the pAsuram goes like this "siRandhEan nin-adikkEA adimai (pause)-thiru-mAlEa" When reciting this line, it is suggested that a pause should be given after the word adimai and then continue with the word thiru-mAlE, to realise the full import of the meaning.
