Dear srivaishNavap perunthagaiyeer,

We saw in earlier post, krishNa tied to two grinding stones [ural] in

two different places as per that staunch krishNa bhakthaa sri leela

sukhar. Srimadh bhaagavatham does not say this. Only mother yasOdha,

after lot of difficulty tied him to mortar in her palace. Read that

beautiful slOkam -

na cha anthar na bahir yasya na poorvam na api cha aparam |

poorva aparam bahis cha anthar jagathO ya: jagath cha ya: ||

tham mathvaa aathmajam avyaktham marthya-lingam aDhOkshajam |

gOpikaa ulookhalE dhaamnaa babandha prakrtham yathaa ||

srimadh bhaagavatham dhasama skandham – 10th canto – poorvaardham -

part 1 – chapter 9 –slOkam 3-14

meaning: That Supreme Personality of Godhead which has no beginning

and no end, no exterior and no interior, no front and no rear, [in

other words] He is all-pervading, that unmanifested person, who is

beyond the perception of the senses, had now appeared as a human

child, and mother Yasoda, considering Him as her own ordinary child,

bound Him to the [grinding stone] mortar with a rope.

So who is correct? Is it leela sukhar or the original sukhar. It

should be the sukhar, the maharshi, the son of vEdhavyaasar. But

leela sukhar justifies his statement with another verse. That again

is a lovely, lovely verse.

Oshtam jigran sisu: ithi Dhiyaa chumbithO vallaveebhi:

kaNtam gruhNan aruNitha padham gaaDam aalingitha angai: |

dhOshNaa lajjaapadham abhimrusan ankam aarOpitha aathmaa

Dhoortha swaamee harathu dhuritham dhoorathO baala krishNa: ||

2- 68 krishNa karNaamrutham – leelaasukhar.

Meaning: Thinking that krishNa is a child

- these gOpees kiss him in his lips but he pulls it and smells

it [ like a lover enjoying his ladylove's kiss].

- these gOpees embrace him in love for a child – but he enjoys

that embrace by repeatedly feeling and touching those portions of his

body, where all those gOpees' bodies touched him.

- these gOpees place him in their laps – and as such he enjoys

the sitting and touching of their bodies in places where touching

creates a shyness in the person touched.

Such a mischievous young krishNa - baala krishNa clear sins to a

distance.

[whose sins – it isunderstood that it is the sins of the reader of

leela sukhar verse]

Point: In this slOkam please visualize and enjoy

1. the addressing of my krishNa as a dhoortha swamy – Dhoortha –

dictionary gives meaning – cunning, mischievous, if noun a rogue.

KrishNa – does he deserve this title – as a child from a bhakthaa?

2. Perhaps yes – for these gOpees thinking him as a child give

him kisses. Many a times, we also do that, not only to our children

but also other's ones – that too when the children look a little more

cute and smart. But if he does pull the lips and smells and enjoys

those kisses or enjoy the gOpees acts like how they kissed him etc,

then is he really a child? Similarly other points.

3. Now you tell me does he deserve the title? I will say it is

the bhakthi in krishNa will make you nod yes. And at the same time

sympathise with him hey why you do all these and get such a name. If

it is not saying, then, I will not put it across the words but leave

it to judgement, for it may offend.

Coming back to our point – is it difficult for such a naughty krishNa

to be tied in two places in two grinding stones or create that

illusion of appearing in two or more places.

Since emotions run high due to that enjoyment of that child krishNa's

acts, I do not want to lengthen the post and spoil that mood.
