The world is replete with full of religions and faiths running contrary to vEdhic tenets. The jEvAthmA who is already embroiled in materialistic pursuits is likely to get further confused and toe these paths leading to destruction. These ways not only lead to self destruction but also results in deeming the AtmA as one's own-kaLLam "Do not get into this maze. This is regarding the age difference , that is prescribed in our Vedic Scriptures and Shastras , between a bridegroom and the Bride . We think the Boy should be atleast 5 years older than the Girl , though now-a-days , the marriages are performed , where the difference is only 2 years . What do the Acharyas and Vedic Scriptures advice , when an Older Girl , wants to marry an younger Boy ? We are seriously concerned about the Consequences and Results of Consenting to such an alliance ? Is this really Permitted in our Vedas and by Acharyas ? What are the Prayashchitthams , one has to undergo as Parents and also as the Boy or Girl , who stubbornly want to go through this type of Alliance ? We are Serious Srivaishnavas and we want your advice as soon as possible .
