Guest guest
Dear Sri Vaishnavas: Please accept adiyen's humble pranam: We have been blessed with our Purvacharya lineage. The greatest lineage, as it starts with the Lord himself. The current generation "scholars" and students have a very inquisitive mind. This is a very good thing. It is very nice to see newer books come out to address the needs of devotees all over the globe. We should encourage the questions, answers and the devotee and scholars. But while questioning or answering one thought should NEVER come to the heart. "This question has never been addressed by our purvacharyas. " The great Purvacharya lineage has had the logic and reasoning way beyond our capacity to even comprehend. Purvacharyas have addressed any and all questions that we have and might have in the future. First, Let us try and preserve their works. Then if needed just translate them into other languages. Even Lord's Acharya Mamunikal, spent all his life preserving and propagating purvacharya works. (He wrote new Vyakhyanams only for the few hundred pasurams of 4000 that were missing) Who are we to write "New" works of our own? We should instead spend time in propagating/ translating existing works. There are thousands of books and olais that need to be preserved in this decade or we will loose them forever. Given the need to preserve the "ORIGINALS" i encourage devotees to consider sponsoring purvacharyas works, that are in need to be published and circulated. Currently we are working on: ====================================== 1: re-publication of the first ever books brought in book form by late sri PBAnnangarachar Swami. Ramanuja Stotra Mala (All of Ramanuja's Works) Vedanta Desika Stotra Mala (All of Desika's Samskrit Works) Varavara Muni Stotra Mama (All of Mamunikal's works) 2: The 4000 as was chanted at Varadarajar Sannidhi in 1920's (With the pauses/ breaks etc.) 3: Meanings of these Mulams as taught by purvacharyas. ====================================== All the above seem to get modified/changed with every decade. The "original works" of our purvacharyas as they were preserved in 18th century needs to be published and distributed. If you are interested in sponsoring, or seek more information please send mail to vedic_books ======================================
