Guest guest
Dear Srivaishnavas, I have been observing a trend of strong demigod worship in Madhwa temples and Madhwa families. Although it disturbs my mind as a person trying to follow our sampradayam, my mandha-buddhi is also not able to associate demigod worship with the philosophical concepts of Dwaita and Panca-bheda as proposed by the great Anandatheertha. I would like to hence understand from the erudite scholars in the fora:- 1) Is demigod worship philosophically *acceptable* in the Madhwa Sampradaya? 2) If so, is it *recommended*? If not, why do they still do it, don't they seek Moksha than just rather materialisting things like dhanam, vidhya, etc?? 3) If (1) is not true, why do we observe demigod worship in Madhwa Sampradaya?? FYI: I have observed sannidhis for Lord Muruga and the Nava-grihas even at the famed Udipi Krishna Mutt. I am eagerly awaiting the words of wisdom coming from the erudite members of the fora and am thankful to them in advance. Adiyen Dasan, Kidambi Soundararajan.
