Completion of The Seventh Ten

 

With The Grace of EmperumAn the seventh ten of Periya Thirumozhi comes

to a completion. I thank all the SrEvaishNavites including the

moderators in this regard. I also thank Sri TCA.Venkatesan swAmy ,

Smt SumithrA Varadarajan and Sri K. Satakopan Iyengar, for honouring

me by their valuable contributions to this series.

 

The commencement of Seventh ten was wonderful with Sri TCA Venkatesan

explaining on bhATTAr's vyAkyanam for the first pAsuram 'kaRAvA mada

nAgu'

 

The fourth Thirumozhi specially deidcated to dhathEya shEshathvam

-ThiurchERAi -kaN sOra venkurudhi -has been adeptly handled by none

other than Mrs. SumithrA VaradarAjan -who explained the boundary of

our devotion being extended to devotion to devotees.

 

Sri K.Satakopan Iyengar, threw his weight around, focussed on TheAr

azhundhUr pAsuram-s and narrated the people, the EmperumAn, the

place and the faith over there wiht his wonderful style.

 

The final Thirumzohi deidcated to ThriukkaNNamangai took us through

kaliyan endlessly stringing wonderful adjectives and highlighting

that with EmperumAn being the sole subject matter for

andhaNar-andhaNar kaRpu.

 

The culmination of this ten is indeed breathtaking with Thirumangai

AzhwAr asking EmperumAn to take the proper route to study the

contents of the thirumzohi and Sri Periya vAchAn piLLai logically

aruging 'when Sri RamA learns under vasishta and Sri krshNa under

sAnthEpani, why not under Thirumangai mannan'.

 

Perhaps, to make this happen Lord krishNa transfored himself into

PeriyavAchAn piLLai -Avani Rohini and learnt under the stewardship of

Sri NampiLLai - kArthigaiyil kArthigai ( Thirunakshathiram of Kaliyan)

It is a nice anubhavam to see vaikunta chakkaravarthi to have become

vyakyana chakkaravathi.

 

Just like we enjoy all His divya-chEsTithams, we enjoy all the

divya-VyAkyAnams of SrImath PVP.

 

He was 'Peria Ayan (nandagopan being the leader of Ayarkulam)

-pillai', while SrI PVP is 'Peria AchAn pillai'.

 

If He steals 'navaneetham', SrI PVP steals all our hearts!

 

Probably, seeing the kudrushTis placing their hands on Sri

Bhagawathgeetha also, He could have appeared and made it 100% clear

thro' the divine vyAkyAnams.

 

There is an oft-written vyAsam called 'kannanum kaliyanum'. aDiyEn is

not sure whether that vyasam covers this angle also.

Dear devotees,

 

Actually, far from being just an idea, this is

indeed mentioned as the avatAra rahasyam of

Swami Periyavachchan Pillai.

 

Thirumangai Azhvar saw that Thirukkannamangaik Kannan

wanted to learn the meaning of his periya thirumozhi

from him and sang

 

meymmai sollil veN sangkam onREnthiya

kaNNa! ninthanakkum kuRippAgil

kaRkalAm kaviyin poruL thAnE

 

(periya thirumozhi 7-10-10)

 

Lord Krishna told him that He would definitely learn

from Azhvar but not at that time as He could not

break the archA samAdhi.

 

He told Azhvar that Azhvar would be reborn later as

nampiLLai ("thirukkalikanRidAsar") in the

same "kaarthikayil kaarthikai nAL" and that He would

be born as periyachchAn piLLai ("Srikrishnar") on

Avani Rohini day. He would then take nampiLLai as

His acharya and learn from him the meanings of not

only periya thirumozhi but the works of all Azhvars,

rahasyas as well as Ramayanam and teach them to the

world. So, Thirumangkai Azhvar was born as nampiLLai

Periyavachchan Pillai was born as Lord Krishna's

amsam.

 

And Periyavachchan Pillai would indeed become the

vyAkhyAna chakravarthi by learning all the meanings

of Azhvars pasurams from Nampillai and with his

approval writing them down for the benefit of this

world.
