Guest guest
Dear Bhagavatas; This passage from "GarbhOpanishad" has been quoted in Sri Bhaaradwaaja-Srinivasachariar Swami's "Saara Prakaasikai" - one of the 4 treatises (in vogue around the period 1750-1850) on Srimad Rahasya Traya Saaram" (SRTS) of Swami Desikan. Vide Pages xv of Preface and 996 of SRTS published by Srimad Andavan, Sri Poundarikapuram Swami Asramam, Srirangam. Dasoham Anbil Ramaswamy ====================================================== Dear Sir Most probably Aitraeya Upanishad. adiyen has not confirmed this. But this subject matter is one of the main themes of Aitraeya Upan. The Maha Vakia Prajinam Brahman also is revealed in this Upanishad. Please do correct me if this is incorrect -- rk --- M P Bhattathiry <mpmahesh wrote: > > > Will you pl. inform which is this Upanshad and from > where it is available. > The Upanishad gives a graphic account of the > travails experienced by the > > fetus till delivery: > > - YekaraatrOshitam kalilam bhavati, > > - Sapta raatrOshitam budbudam, > > - ardha-maasaabhyantarENa piNDa: > > - maasaabhyantarE kaTinO bhavati, > > - maasadvayEna sira: kurutE, > > - maasa trayENa paada pradEsa: > > - ChaturtE gulphajaTara kaTina pradEsaa: > > - panchamE prushTavamsa: > > - shashtE mukha-naasikaa-akshi-srOtraaNi, > > - saptamE chaitanyam, > > - ashTamE sarva sampoorNO bhavati, > > - navamE sarva lakshaNa jnaanakaraNa sampanna:/" > > > Meaning: > > > - At first- Kalilam: Staying in the womb for a > night > > - Around 7th day: Attaining a round bubble-like > shape > > - Around 15th day: Becoming an embryo > > - Around 1st month: Becoming solidified > > - Around 2nd month: Head part emerging in the > fetus > > - Around 3rd month: Formation of legs > > - Around 4th month: Formation of tummy and shin > > - Around 5th month: Formation of backbone > > - Around 6th month: Appearance of nose, eyes and > ears > > - Around 7th month: Developing cognitive faculty > > - Around 8th month: all limbs developing to their > full status > > - Around 9th month: Attaining the complete human > form > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > removed] > > >

Guest guest
Adiyen recently found a reference quoted in a very old book published in 1954. The same is attached as .pdf file. The name of the author or Title of the book is not mentioned. Also there are references about "SRIVEDANTHA DESIKA VAIBAVA PRAKASIKAI KEERTHANAI". If anybody can guide me where the book will be available I will be happy and grateful -- Adiyen,Dasan,Thiruppathi Raguveeradayal Attachment: [not stored]
