AchAryan Sishyan 5

 

Recap: The one who impart knoledge of Thirumandhiram which is

primarily aimed at removing one eternally from samsAram is The

AchAryan.

 

Priyam and Hidham

 

While interacting with Sishyan - The AchAryan does two things i. One

is hidham -- Imparting and educating knowledge and practices which

furthers the spiritual upliftment of the sishyan. ii. Priyam- The

furthrance of Sishyan to sustain himself in this world and to

continue with the aforesaid activities.

 

Since, the imparting of knowledge is his role, he does this directly.

As far as the latter is concerned, he has to do this by depending on

the Almighty.

 

However, since, tfhe upliftment of the soul is his first motive, the

prime concern for The AchAryan is hitham for the Sishyan.

 

AchAryan thAn hithathai nadathak kadavan. Eswaranaik koNdu priyathai nadathak kadavan - 327;

 

AchAryan ujjEvanathil vUnrip pOgum-328;

 

Summary: The AchAryan will do all the acts that harbour the elevation

of the AthmA of the sishyan. However, when there are some

physical/material inadequacies for the sishyan, he may thorugh

Almighty bless the Sishyan in this regard.

 

Notwithstanding this blessing - priyam, since, upliftment is the prime

motive and the hithOpadhEsam is aimed at permanently removing one from

samsAram

 

Hitham is the primary subject of AchAryan insofar as AchArya-Sishya relationship is considred.
