Guest guest
Dear All,Pranams! We saw about the pushpa kaimkaryam and its anubhavam by Nammazhwar and Thirumangai Azhwar. There was one azhwar who was specifically born for this kaimkaryam. Known as Periyazhwar for his pongum parivu, he was the one who proved that Narayanan is the paradeivam in pandya court. Interesting thing is that this azhwar has also referred to offering eight flowers in his pasuram. They are:1. Senbakam2. Mallikai3. Paathiri4. Senkazhuneer5. Punnai6. Kurukkathi7. Iruvaatchi8. KarumukaiAlso the eight pushpams refer to eight Atma gunams (Please refer to series on Pushpa, thyAga and bhOga mandapams that was written in the same list few months back). seNbakamallikaiyOdu sengazhuneer_iruvaatchi eNpakar poovumkoNarndhEn inRu ivaisoottavaavenRu maNpakar koNdaanai aaychchimakizhndhuraiseydha immaalai paNpakarvillipuththoorkkOn pattar_piraan_sonnapaththEThe opportunity of doing pushpa kaikaryam itself will be the phalam that a soul can get by just reciting these 10 pasurams. To summarize till now, 1. We started with Nammazhwar's pasurams and his reference to flowers from any/all of the eight directions, including the kind of pushpa kaimkaryam in ThiruVenkadam2. Kaliyan's reference to AshtAkshara mantram as nAmam (TiruVenkadam pasuram)3. Kaliyan's reference to eight letters of the Thirumantram itself as eight flowers4. Periyazhwar's reference to eight types of flowersLet us continue with more of this kaimkaryam in the concluding posting.... to followaDiyEn,ramanan for Good Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.
