Yes , These flowers are still cultivated and used .

Yes , the name CheNpakam and Senbakam are the same .

 

Some rare ones going back to PeriyAzhwAr's times have been

brought back to life and are at Melkote Sanskrit Academy

Gardens thanks to Sri Lakshmi TatachAr Dampathis .

In pUcchUttal Paasurams I could not understand these flowers name sir, are

they available now too? If so, what r the names in normal usage?

 

Ever green Maruk kozhunthu and the red paathiri flowers.

 

Maru and Tamanakam

 

Punnai flowers.

 

Kurukkatthi flowers. IruvAtchi flowers

 

KarumuhaippU garland

 

CheNpakA flowers.and SeNpaka flower ( r these two one and same?)
