Steps to make a "Dharbha Koorcham"

 

How to make a koorcham:

See the completed Koorcham's view : Infact, it is prepared by twisting a

14 inches long 21 number of dharbhams (there is no restriction in numbers, but

usually 11 or 21 numbers used) twisted well and folded the tip ends of the

dharbhams to make a ring (hole) and twisted that ring two times to make a knot.

Then inserted the tips of the dharbhams through that hole. Now the tips will

look like the hairs of a painting brush. Taken two long dharbhams and inserted

into that hole and folded two inches towards bottom. Using the other long side

of that two dharbhams tied over the stem of the koorcham without leaving space

between tides upto the end of the koorcham. Knotted at the end of the koorcham

using those two dharbhams. The balance portion of the stem was cut off to make

the ends even.
