Svami dESikan thirunakshatram - Sathyagalam

Our Beloved Acharyan Swami Desikan's Thirunakshatram was celebrated at

Sathyagalam on 6th of November 2005. Lot of Sri Vaishnavas

Particpated in this holy occasion. I am sure next year there will be

more number of Participants. Sri K R Krishnaswami svami, (Hon

Secretary of Sathyagalam Desika Sabha) told, this year there were more

particpants inspite of the poor weather condition. H H Parakala Swami

came at 10 o'clock, did MangalASasanam at Kote Varadharaja Perumal

Sanadhi and started ArAdanam to Parakala Mutt Moorthys. In the

afternoon, Swami Desikan was carried to Cauvery Karai and SrI Madhavan

Bhattar did all the rituals which was followed by Avabratha Snanam and

Sathrumurai.

 

Yesterday (07.11.05) was Kedantapatti Swamis ThiruNakshatram which was

also celebrated during when Srimath Parakala Swami gave Anugruha

Bhashanam. HH released a Book written By Sri K R Krishnaswami Mama ,

tittled "The Great Epic Creations of Sri Vedantha Desikan". It

contains the selected Verses from three great Books viz.pAdukA

sahasram, yAdavAbyudayam and SrImath rahasya traya sAram in English

with meaning. The Book is priced at Rs.100/- . Krishnaswami Mama can

be reached at krishkrk or vaskri . Then H H

Parakala Swami told every year some book should be released on svami

dESikan's Thirunakshatram Day. I am also pleased to inform you that

Rajagopuram work has begun and request you to send your vaulable

contribution and also see that before next Thirunakshataram day, the

Rajagopuram is there in YOUR SATHAYAGALAM , a place dear to Swami

Desikan (Svami stayed here for 12 long years and composed : abhIti

stavam here only)
